Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the all-new 2026 Burgman Street in India, with prices starting at Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated scooter will be available at dealerships nationwide from April 8, 2026.
The lineup now includes the Ride Connect Edition priced at Rs 1,01,944, the new Ride Connect TFT Edition at Rs 1,13,220, and the Burgman Street EX at Rs 1,07,902. With these variants, Suzuki aims to cater to a wider range of buyers in the premium 125cc scooter segment.
Sleek Modern Design With Premium Appeal
The 2026 Burgman Street adopts a “Sleek Modern” design theme that combines sharp styling with a refined maxi-scooter stance. The updated scooter features split LED headlamps with position lights, LED tail lamps, compact turn indicators, a smoked windscreen, and metallic-finish emblems.
The angular, boxy exhaust muffler adds a sporty touch, while the overall bodywork reflects a more contemporary and premium look compared to its predecessor.
Advanced Features in the TFT Variant
The Ride Connect TFT Edition stands out with a 4.2-inch colour TFT display integrated with Suzuki Ride Connect features, providing a smarter riding experience.
This variant also introduces a keyless ignition system with a remote fob and answer-back function, allowing riders to operate the seat, fuel filler, and handle lock effortlessly. Other additions such as a USB charging port, dual front storage compartments, engine start/stop system, side stand interlock, and waterproof switches make the scooter more convenient for daily use.
The lower variants retain a traditional LCD display and physical key but benefit from practical updates like the repositioned tail-mounted fuel filler.
Enhanced Comfort and Practicality
Suzuki has also focused on comfort and everyday usability. The new Burgman Street features a long, well-padded seat with a redesigned grab rail and aluminium pillion footpegs. The flexible floorboard with front footrests improves ergonomics for riders and passengers. Underseat storage has been increased to 24.6 litres, and the fuel tank now holds 5.5 litres, making refuelling more convenient. These enhancements make the scooter highly practical for city commutes and daily errands.
Engine and Rideability Improvements
The 2026 Burgman Street is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine built on Suzuki’s SEP platform. The engine produces 8.4 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 10.2 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm, paired with a CVT gearbox.
Suzuki has slightly retuned the engine to improve low and mid-range performance, resulting in smoother city rides. The addition of a new starter clutch ensures quieter operation, better acceleration from 30–60 kmph, and a refined exhaust note.
Chassis, Suspension, and Braking Updates
Underneath, the scooter now sits on a new platform shared with the Suzuki Access, featuring a lighter frame that is 500 grams lighter and offers 25 percent higher torsional rigidity. The suspension setup continues with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, riding on 12-inch wheels at both ends. Braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum combination, equipped with Suzuki’s Combined Braking System (CBS).
However, ABS is not included in the new Burgman Street. Ground clearance stands at 160mm, suitable for urban roads and occasional rough patches.
Suzuki’s Vision for the Burgman Street
Speaking about the launch, Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “When we launched the Burgman Street in India, it created a distinct space in the luxury scooter segment. Over the years, sales have doubled, and Burgman Street owners take pride in owning something different.”
With sharper styling, advanced technology, keyless ignition, enhanced comfort, and improved rideability, the 2026 Suzuki Burgman Street solidifies its position as one of the most attractive premium 125cc scooters in India. Prices range from Rs 1.02 lakh to Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), with dual-tone and single-tone colour options depending on the variant, offering customers more choices in the growing urban scooter market.
