Sukanya Mandal, daughter of TMC Birbhum District President Anubrata Mondal, was ordered by Calcutta High Court on Wednesday

Sukanya Mandal, daughter of TMC Birbhum District President Anubrata Mondal, was ordered by Calcutta High Court on Wednesday to appear before the court today after a plea was filed alleging that she was hired as a teacher without passing Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET).

Six individuals, including Mandal, were allegedly hired as primary instructors without taking the TET test, according to the petitioner. Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay requested documentation during a PIL hearing on Wednesday regarding Anubrata Mandal’s relatives working in primary schools and subsequently ordered Mandal to appear in court.

Sukanya Mandal reportedly never went to the school where she had an appointment, even though the attendance register was provided to Mandal’s home to record her attendance.

Earlier, Anubrata Mondal, president of TMC in Birbhum and a close adviser to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, was detained by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on August 11 in connection with the cattle smuggling case.
