TRS’ K Kavitha: On Monday, Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader K Kavitha denied BJP leaders’ claims that the family of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was involved in the recent controversy over Delhi’s excise policy. The opposition claimed that KCR’s daughter served as a “middleman” between the booze mafia and the ruling Aam Aadmi Party.
“I want to make it clear that all allegations against me by BJP are baseless. I have nothing to do with ongoing Delhi liquor policy probe. BJP is trying to malign the reputation of my family. We’re not those who’re going to step down…we’ll put up a fight,” the TRS MLC asserted.
She is now prepared to bring a defamation case against two prominent Delhi BJP members: Parvesh Varma, an MP, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa, a former MLA. K Kavitha, a TRS MLC, would also ask the court for an injunction against the accusers. In a news conference held earlier on Sunday, the two BJP leaders said that KCR’s daughter served as a type of intermediary between the Delhi government and the liquor mafia.
