Two LeT Terrorists Encounter in Kashmir’s Shopian

Two LeT terrorists killed in the Shopian Encounter on Wednesday was engaged in the murder of Vijay Kumar (a bank manager) from the Kulgam district.

According to the police, one of the two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists killed in the Shopian Encounter on Wednesday was engaged in the murder of Vijay Kumar (a bank manager) from the Kulgam district.

The Kashmir zone police sent out a tweet stating “Jan Mohd Lone of Shopian was one of the terrorists murdered in the attack. He was implicated in the recent death of Vijay Kumar, a bank manager, on June 2 in Kulgam district, among other terror acts.”

Vijay Kumar, the banker, was from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan and worked in Kulgam. Terrorists shot and killed the banker in broad daylight.

Two terrorists were killed by Jammu and Kashmir police in an encounter that erupted in the Kanjiular region of Shopian on Wednesday.

The terrorists were related to the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group.  

As per Kashmir Police tweet, “2 terrorists linked to the banned #terrorist group LeT have been killed in a Shopian Encounter. Identification is being established.”

The operation was carried out jointly by the police and security forces of Jammu and Kashmir.

The two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists killed in the Shopian encounter were identified by Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday.
