Ukraine gets 600 million euro financial aid from EU

Ukraine received the second tranche of the EU emergency macro-financial assistance programme, worth 600 million euros
Ukraine has received the second tranche of the European Union’s (EU) emergency macro-financial assistance programme, worth 600 million euros (634 million dollars), according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.
In a statement, the ministry stated, “The cash will be used to ensure financial stability in Ukraine during the war.”
Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, expressed gratitude to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for the assistance.
In February, the EU resolved to provide Ukraine with 1.2 billion euros (1.26 billion USD) in emergency aid. However, in March, Ukraine received 600 million euros as part of the aid package.
