There have been several recent cases of religious tensions and disputes that have been brought to light, and now another one has. A man was detained after reportedly offending religious sensitivities by selling chicken in a newspaper that had images of Hindu deities and assaulting the police officers who had arrived to arrest him.

Talib Hussain was recognized as the guy. The case is currently the subject of an inquiry. This incident was brought to notice when some people had filed complaints about Talib selling chicken in newspapers with pictures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

Talib Hussain has been arrested under the Indian Penal Code sections 153-A, 295A, 307.

This incident has come to light only a few days after the gruesome murder of a tailor in Udaipur by two men who claimed the tailor had offended their religious sentiments by sharing a Facebook post in favor of Nupur Sharma’s remark.

Amravati also had a similar occurrence, in which two guys killed a pharmacist for the same reason as in the Udaipur murder case.
