On Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces mentioned that Israeli troops persist in carrying out targeted raids in the Zeitoun district of Gaza City. In joint operations with the Israeli Air Force, ground forces placed a Hamas weapons manufacturing facility, rocket launchers, and other military systems, as well as a lathe with what the IDF said was a significant amount of equipment.

In Zeitoun, Israeli forces eliminated several militants inside a tunnel and subsequently demolished the structure. In central Gaza, following Hamas’s rocket attacks on Monday, the Israeli Air Force targeted an operational center responsible for multiple launches. Another operational center utilized by militants to target troops in the area was also struck.

In central Gaza over the past day, ground forces eliminated multiple militants, discovered terrorist infrastructure, and confiscated numerous weapons. The IDF also reported that engineering units demolished numerous strategic sites belonging to Hamas. Additionally, soldiers apprehended several militants attempting to escape a combat zone among Palestinian civilians who were being evacuated.

Soldiers also conducted targeted incursions and worked to secure areas bordering the Israeli communities near the Gaza Strip. Several Hamas militants were neutralized in close-quarters combat.

In Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7, at least 1,200 people were killed and 240 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage. Israel has recently confirmed the deaths of 31 out of the remaining 134 hostages.
