Recent reports ports claim that Xi Jinping has “ensured total control” over and allegiance from the army after winning the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and gaining a third term in office.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has made sure that the military is ready to begin battles efficiently, improve their capacity for victory, and successfully carry out the “missions and responsibilities” of the army in the new age. According to the news article, the Chinese military forces must “protect, safeguard, and defend” the leadership to the very core and “resolutely be faithful” to Xi Jinping.
According to reports, the Chinese president has instructed the army to adhere “single fundamental standard of combat effectiveness, focus all energy on fighting, work hard to improve winning capabilities, and resolutely defend national sovereignty, security, and development interests, as well as complete the various tasks entrusted by the party and the people.”
Recent inspections by Xi Jinping of the Central Military Commission’s Joint Operation Command Center provided an indication that the new Central Military Mission would operate in accordance with the principles of the Communist Party of China’s 20th National Congress. The newly established Central Military Mission will improve military education and readiness.
Reports state that the 20th National Congress of CCP made strategic decisions for building an army and a national defence based on the “overall situation of building a modern socialist country and calling for the great rejuvenation of China in a all-round way”.
