Drishyam 3 Box Office Day 2: Mohanlal’s Thriller Continues Dream Run With Rs 76 Crore Worldwide Collection

Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 2: Drishyam 3 is undoubtedly one of the most successful movies for Mohanlal at the box office right now. The movie managed to collect Rs 11 crore net in India on its second day along with Rs 20 crore gross from abroad. This brings the global total collections of Drishyam 3 to Rs 76.18 crores, as the movie was able to mint Rs 45 crores on its opening day. As per reports by Sacnilk, the movie was able to earn Rs 11.05 crore net in India after booking 4,886 screenings with 44.5 per cent occupancy.

Helmed by Jeethu Joseph, the film has begun approaching the record set by the Hindi adaptation of Drishyam, which had collected Rs 110 crore post-release in 2015. However, the Hindi remake of Drishyam 2 had gone on to collect Rs 342 crore globally, whereas the Drishyam 2 movie by Mohanlal had been released directly on OTT platforms amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Drishyam, the original movie of Mohanlal, after a sluggish start, managed to garner Rs 62 crore in total earnings and was remade in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages. The film was also turned into Sinhala and Chinese versions.

With this, it will be the second movie this year after Patriot in which Mohanlal stars alongside Mammootty. Although the movie had other big names such as Nayanthara and Fahadh Faasil, the movie could not connect with the audience and collected around Rs 79.91 crore, which included Rs 31.59 crore from India.

His previous hit movie was Thudarum (2025) that had earned him Rs 236 crore all over the world. He then made his presence in movies like Kannappa, Hridayapoorvam, and Vrusshabha. While Hridayapoorvam did decently at the box office, the rest could not impress at all.

Provided that the movie Drishyam 3 holds its current position, then the film can easily collect more than Rs 100 crore on its first weekend itself. The movie also features some other actors, including Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Siddique, and Asha Sarath.
