The current shoot of Dhurandhar, a film with Ranveer Singh, in Leh, Ladakh, has been affected by a public health scare, according to a report. Sunday evening reports by several sources have shown that more than 100 crew members were hospitalized after they reportedly succumbed to alleged mass food poisoning.

The event happened following the serving of a meal on the filming cover whereby about 600 individuals had eaten the food. Affected people had predicted symptoms; abdominal pain, vomiting, and headache, and rushed to the Sajal Narbu Memorial (SNM) Hospital, Leh with immediate effect.

Hospitalization And Investigation Details

The doctor was faced with a delicate scenario at the emergency ward of the hospital after the sudden surge of more than one hundred patients at the hospital. Nevertheless, the authorities of the hospital, using the support of local police, coped with the influx of patients and provided them with medical assistance in time. It is established that it was a mass food poisoning, and the condition of other people involved has stabilized going by doctors’ confirmation.

Though they have been released since undergoing treatment, some patients are in incubation. Authorities, such as the food safety department have sampled food supplies in the set to undergo a thorough analysis of the food to ascertain the cause of contamination. The research is following the trail to repair responsibility for the incident.

Filming Impact And Production Response

The shoot of the film in Leh is inevitably called off as a result of the health crisis. The cast, an ensemble adventure thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, features Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal besides Ranveer Singh. Although the significant event led to the delay in shooting, the prompt medical aid has saved the situation which could have been worse.

At such a point, neither the film producers nor Ranveer Singh has issued an official statement which raises questions about what will happen with the current schedule in this high-altitude zone. The case calls into question important safety mechanisms and logistics in carrying out large film productions, particularly in undesirable areas and difficult sites.
