DELHI ASSEMBLY SECURITY BREACH: A security breach occurred at the Delhi Assembly after an unidentified car broke through the gate, entered the premises, and fled before authorities could respond.

According to reports, ink was also hurled at the speaker’s car.

Security agencies have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and tightening measures to identify the vehicle and prevent such incidents in the future.

Reports also suggested that unidentified individuals vandalised Gate No. 2 of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, commonly known as the VVIP gate. Delhi Police and the bomb squad have reached the site to investigate and secure the area.

The car carried a Uttar Pradesh’s registered number plate. The driver then entered the office of Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta and placed a flower bouquet at the entrance before escaping.

Speaking to ANI, an eyewitness to the incident said the man fled in a “white car” after security personnel rushed towards him.

“I saw a white car. It hit the gate and entered the Delhi Assembly. The car was being driven inside for around 5 minutes. After a security personnel ran towards the car, he rushed it and came outside the Assembly…,” he said.

The search for the vehicle has been initiated in the national capital. The situation is under control, and further details are awaited as a probe has been initiated.
