Weather Report Today: An extended period of rain, thunderstorms, and hail is expected in several states this week, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. The weather activity is likely to be at its peak on April 3 and 4 due to multiple weather systems coming together.
The impact will be stronger in northwest India, including areas like Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, where rain, thunderstorms, and occasional hailstorms are expected over the next few days.
Central India is also likely to be affected, with thunderstorms and lightning expected in states like Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh until April 6. Some areas may also see hailstorms until April 2.
The IMD has warned that strong winds, reaching speeds of 60-80 kmph, could occur in certain places and may cause damage.
In eastern and northeastern regions, rain is expected in many areas throughout the week. States like Assam and Meghalaya could experience heavy rainfall in some places on March 31 and April 1.
According to the India Meteorological Department, Delhi is likely to have mostly cloudy skies on April 3. There may be light rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds reaching up to 40 kmph, especially in the afternoon and evening.
On April 3, Delhi may again see rain and thunderstorms, with the maximum temperature likely to be around 32 degrees Celsius.
In Noida, the weather will stay mostly clear and warm at the start of the week. On April 3, the weather will remain mostly clear, with a slight drop in temperature to around 35 degrees Celsius.
By April 4, the sky may turn partly cloudy, and there is a chance of rain or thunderstorms.
In Gurugram, the weather will stay partly cloudy for most of the week with chances of rain and thunderstorms.
On April 1, the city may see cloudy skies with possible rain or storms, and temperatures between 15 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius. April 2 will remain similar, with slightly warmer temperatures ranging from 16 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius.
April 2 is likely to be hotter, with hazy weather and temperatures going up to around 36 degrees Celsius. On April 3, the sky will become mostly cloudy, but it will still be quite warm, with temperatures close to 35 degrees Celsius.
By April 4, the weather may turn a bit cooler, with hazy sloes and temperatures around 32 degrees Celsius.
