TKO Group Holdings, the Utah Sports Commission and Smith Entertainment Group announced Tuesday that they have reached a deal that will bring a number of high-profile WWE and UFC events to the Delta Center through 2026.
The WWE will hold two consecutive events at the Delta Center this fall with first being the Friday Night SmackDown on October 31. Saturday Night Main Event is the next event and it will be on November 1. The live stream will be earlier (7:00 p.m. ET (4:00 p.m. PT) on Peacock.
“We can’t say enough about how great partners and hosts the Utah Sports Commission and Smith Entertainment Group have been for our events,” stated Peter Dropick, TKO’s Executive Vice President.
He said that Salt Lake City and the Delta Center have become a favorite place of UFC and WWE in a very short time and they are thrilled to extend the partnership up to 2026.
The sale of tickets will start with a presale on Wednesday, September 3 at 10 a.m. MST with combo tickets available on Friday, September 5 at the same time through SeatGeek. Those eager to have presale access have the possibility to already pre-register an exclusive early offer.
Jeff Robbins, president and CEO of the Utah Sports Commission, said the long-term arrangement was another chance to put Utah in the international spotlight as a destination of importance in the fields of sports and entertainment.
“Our expanded partnership with TKO and Smith Entertainment Group offers yet another opportunity to position Utah as a premier destination for key global sports and entertainment events,” Robbins explained.
He also pointed out how the welcoming of WWE in 2025 and UFC in 2026 indicates the reputation that Utah has as the State of Sport and how it shows the growing influence of the region in the world of entertainment.
Some of the biggest UFC nights have already been witnessed in the Delta Center. UFC 278 drew 18,321 fans to the record mark at the location in 2022. The next year, UFC 291 beat that number with 18,467 in attendance, making UFC the most lucrative event in the arena ever.
Barney added that the resurgence of both the WWE and the UFC will only augment that momentum.
“We are thrilled that live WWE entertainment and UFC action will return to Utah,” Barney said. “Every TKO event Delta Center has hosted has captivated fans and brought people from across the country into Salt Lake City, creating opportunities to showcase Utah’s world class sports and entertainment landscape.”
Barney also noted the importance of this partnership with TKO and the Utah Sports Commission and that further events would most likely set new attendance and revenue records again.
Further information about all three of the forthcoming WWE and UFC events at the Delta Center will be released in the future months. This will entail ticket information, fight cards and the schedule of WWE Superstars likely to appear during Saturday Night Main Event.
To Salt Lake City, the new lineup of events is indicative of the increased power of Utah as a sports destination as well as the continued expansion of WWE in bringing bigger live events to new cities.
