7 Easy Steps to Make Crispy Banana Chips at Home

Check out these easy steps to make Crunchy, salty, and addictive market-style banana chips at home in minutes!

Ingredients You’ll need 3 raw green bananas, ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp salt, and 2 cups of water for soaking. Use 1½ to 2 cups of coconut oil for deep frying.

Step 1 – Peel and Prepare Cut off the ends and peel the green bananas. Make sure they’re firm and raw, not the sweet yellow ones.

Step 2 – Thinly Slice Using a slicer or knife, slice the bananas into thin, even rounds. The thinner you slice, the crispier the chips!

Step 3 – Soak in Salt-Turmeric Water Soak the slices in a bowl of water mixed with turmeric and salt for 10–15 minutes. This gives color and removes excess starch.

Step 4 – Pat Dry Drain the slices and gently pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. They should be moisture-free before frying.

Step 5 – Heat the Oil Heat coconut oil in a deep pan over medium flame. fry them Until Golden  and drop in the slices carefully and fry in batches. 

Step 6 – Cool & Enjoy Drain on paper towels and let them cool completely. Store in an airtight jar.!
