Rakhabandhan is incomplete without gulab jamun so here is the recipe to make it at home and to make it more sibling special..
Ingredients you will need:1 cup khoya, 2 tbsp maida, a pinch of baking soda, milk and ghee for frying.
Make Dough Mix khoya,maida,baking soda and slowly add milk to knead it into soft smooth dough.
Shape BallsMake small balls from the dough if you see any cracks, apply ghee on your palms and then roll them again and make sure to keep them covered until frying.
Make Sugar Syrup Boil 1.5 cup sugar with 1.5 cup water crush 2 cardamom and add ½ rose water into it, let it boil until it feels sticky
Heat Ghee Heat ghee on low medium flame then slowly fry the balls till they are golden brown.
Soak Them In Sugar SyrupOnce they are fried, drop the balls into the warm sugar syrup and let them sit undisturbed.
Serving Take the gulab jamuns out of the sugar syrup and garnish them with pistachio and saffron for serving
