Amazon’s cloud computing operation in Bahrain was damaged after an Iranian strike, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, 1st April 2026, citing a person familiar with the matter.

Earlier in the day, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry announced that civil defense personnel were putting out a fire at a business facility after what they believed was an Iranian attack.

  • The report of the strike came a day after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards threatened to target U.S. companies in the Middle East, including Microsoft, Google and, in retaliation for attacks on Iran.

  • Last week, the e-commerce giant said its Amazon Web Services region in Bahrain had been “disrupted” amid the current conflict in the Middle East, marking the second time in a month that its operations have been affected by the war.
