Leaving behind many of his peers in the Western world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again become the most popular leader in the world. In terms of domestic and international appeal, state leaders of the most powerful economies in the world, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, and others, are ranked far lower in the charts. According to a Morning Consult survey, PM Modi has an overwhelming 78% approval rating, which roughly translates to the same percentage of people supporting and approving him. Interestingly, PM Modi has topped the Morning Consult charts for NDA 2.0 and NDA 1.0 on a regular basis. The results of the survey show that PM Modi is the only leader with approval ratings above 70%, with the exception of four others who have got the approval of below 50%.

With 65% approval ratings, Mexico’s President Andres Obrador is the second-closest leader on the charts, behind Argentina’s President Javier Milei, who has 63%. Donald Tusk, the president of Poland, is rated 50%, placing him in fourth place on the list, while Viola Amherd, the president of Switzerland, is rated 51%. The most recent approval ratings from Morning Consult are based on information gathered from January 30 to February 5. The opinions of adults in each surveyed country are averaged over a period of seven days to determine these ratings. Among the most well-known polling companies is Morning Consult, a US-based company.

The most powerful leaders, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and US President Joe Biden, are positioned at the middle or bottom of the table. Sunak and Olaf have barely above 20% approval ratings, while Biden has managed to command 37% of the vote.
