On September 29, Indian Equity Markets Finished Flat despite volatility.
Hey there! The Indian stock markets went through a rollercoaster ride today but largely ended on a flat note. The Sensex finished at 80,543.96, which was an increase of 117.50 points (0.15%), and the Nifty at 24,683.20, which was an increase of 28.50 points (0.12%). Good market atmosphere, in general, then!
On closer examination, the BSE Midcap index increased marginally by 0.3 per cent as compared to the Smallcap index, which declined by 0.3 per cent.
Curious as to what stocks had it bad? Some of the biggest losers on the Nifty were Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, Adani Enterprises, and Dr Reddy’s Labs. Eternal, Bharat Electronics, IndusInd Bank, Titan Company, and SBI were on the winning side on the brighter side.
In the sector-wise, there was some strength in oil and gas as well as PSU banks, energy, and realty sectors, which increased by around 1%. The media industry, however, fell by 1%.
