Shefali Jariwala Dies at 42, Last Post Was an Emotional Tribute to Sidharth Shukla
In a shocking incident, ‘Kaanta Laga’ face- Shefali Jariwala passed away after suffering heart attack. Tributes poured in from celebrities, colleagues, and fans, remembering her as a vibrant performer. Known for her dynamic screen presence, Shefali also participated in reality shows like Nach Baliye 5, Nach Baliye 7, and Bigg Boss 13 in 2019, where she featured alongside her husband Parag Tyagi.
Amid the grief, her last post on X (formerly Twitter) has resurfaced, gaining emotional significance. The post, dedicated to her Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant and former partner Sidharth Shukla, has now gone viral. Sidharth, who won the season, had also died in 2021 due to a similar cardiac arrest.
Shefali’s post included a throwback picture from the Bigg Boss house, showing the duo sharing a hug. Alongside the image, she had written, “Thinking of you today mere dost @sidharth_shukla.” Fans have now flooded the comments with tributes, drawing parallels between the two sudden losses.
In an earlier interview with BollywoodLife, Shefali reflected on their relationship, saying, “See, initially we bonded and then we had a bad fight. After he came back from the secret room, our equation got better… Even after we stopped dating, we were always cordial whenever we bumped into each other.”
It must be known that Shefali was in a relationship with Sidharth over 15 years ago. She married actor Parag Tyagi in 2014 after meeting him at a mutual friend’s gathering. The couple dated for four years before their wedding.
Ahead the acting limelight, Shefali studied Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Sardar Patel Engineering College in Gujarat.
Her journey from engineering to becoming a household name in Bollywood highlighted her multi-dimensional persona. In 2014, she married television actor Parag Tyagi after dating him for four years. Prior to that, she was married to musician Harmeet Singh of the Meet Bros duo, but they divorced in 2009.
While maintaining an active presence in showbiz, Shefali silently battled epilepsy. She experienced her first seizure at age 15 and continued to face health struggles throughout her career. For years, she kept the condition private. In later interviews, she revealed that stress and anxiety triggered her seizures. Through consistent physical exercise and mental resilience, she managed to control her condition. She became a vocal advocate for fitness, crediting it with helping her combat both epilepsy and depression.
According to several media reports, Shefali Jariwala reportedly left behind assets valued at around $1 million (approximately Rs 7.5 crore). However, official confirmation of this figure remains pending. Her untimely death marks the end of a notable journey through music, television, and personal perseverance. Her legacy continues through the memories she created on screen and the courage she displayed off it.
