Delhi Police Commissioner Directs Officials Not To Be Clicked With The Public To Avoid Its Misuse
Delhi Police Commissioner SBK Singh recently ordered the discontinuation of the practice of getting photographed or being involved in videos with public persons, to curb the misuse of such material in crime.
The order stated that it has been learnt that there are many public persons who try to establish contact with police officers by being photographed and using it to their advantage by being part of organised crime in their area.
The order also provided for the compilation of the list and to submit it to the special commissioner of police (intelligence), Anil Shukla, by August 31.
For this purpose, a committee of senior officers will be set up. The committee will be constituted with members from both the Law & Order Zones, Crime, Special Cell & Intelligence.
The order further stated that a photo taken with suspicious individuals can also raise questions about their image and credibility.
