Lawrence Bishnoi was once more brought before the Baghapurana court after serving 10-day police detention with the Moga Police

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was once more brought before the Baghapurana court after serving 10-day police detention with the Moga Police.

Bishnoi was sent to the Jalandhar Police on transit remand by the court for the assassination of Sidhu Moosewala.

ACP Nirmal Singh stated “In connection with an illegal arms supply case against Lawrence Bishnoi that was filed in division number five, Deepak Kumar was taken into custody and a revolver with 1 kilogram of heroin was discovered. According to Deepak, Bishnoi supplied the gun. Additional major disclosures are anticipated during Lawrence Bishnoi’s ten-day detention by the Jalandhar Police.”

Earlier on April 2, 2022, Baghapurana police took mobster Lawrence Bishnoi into custody in connection with the murder of gang member Harjit Penta, a member of Bishnoi’s bitter adversary Davinder Bambiha gang, in the hamlet of Maadi Mustafa.

In connection with a 2017 murder case, Bishnoi was sent to 13-day police remand with the Ludhiana city police concluded in April. He was later presented before a local Moga court, which placed him on 9-day police remand till October 21.

A police report (FIR) was filed on April 2 in the matter at Baghapurana police station under sections 302/307/120-B of the IPC and 25/27 of the Arms Act.

Senior Moga police official: “Bishnoi was listed as an accused in the case. Penta’s murder was a consequence of gang rivalry between Bambiha group and Bishnoi group members within the jail.”
