Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident has been reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district, where a seven-year-old boy was allegedly locked inside a freezer for around five hours by a shopkeeper. The man accused the child of stealing food from his shop and allegedly decided to punish him in this manner.
The disturbing act came to light after a video of the incident surfaced online and quickly went viral, triggering widespread anger and concern among users.
The accused, identified as Azad, has been arrested in connection with the case. In the viral video, he can be seen and heard abusing the crying child while questioning him repeatedly about the alleged theft.
“Will you steal again? You said you didn’t steal. What is your name? You have been getting on my nerves,” the man is heard saying in the clip. The child continues to deny the accusation while visibly terrified.
The accused is also heard issuing threats, including threatening to kill the child and even making violent remarks. The boy appears distressed, crying and pleading during the ordeal.
The child’s father said his son cried for hours after the incident and was deeply traumatized. He has demanded strict action against the shopkeeper for the alleged abuse.
Following the video going viral, police stepped in and took immediate action. Authorities confirmed that the accused has been arrested and that the matter is under investigation. Officials said strict legal action is being taken in the case.
