Delhi Capitals will take on Punjab Kings in Match 35 of the Indian Premier League 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday, April 25.
DC head into this clash after a 47-run loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad and face a tough challenge against an in-form PBKS side that remains unbeaten this season.
Delhi’s biggest concern has been their inconsistent batting. Players like KL Rahul, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, and Sameer Rizvi have shown form in patches but have not delivered consistently as a unit.
Pathum Nissanka has looked aggressive at the top but has struggled to maintain consistency, which has added to DC’s problems.Captain Axar Patel has also not been at his best with either bat or ball. Although he showed some fight with the bat against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, an injury cut his innings short.
For DC to challenge PBKS, Axar will need to step up, especially with the ball.
Punjab Kings have looked like a well-balanced side this season. Their batting has been strong and confident, highlighted by a massive 254-run total in their previous match—the highest of the season so far.
Openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya have been impressive, while Cooper Connolly and Shreyas Iyer have contributed in key moments.
PBKS’ bowling attack has worked well as a group. While no single bowler has dominated, players like Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Marco Jansen, Vijaykumar Vyshak, and Xavier Bartlett have stepped up at important times.
Visitors Punjab Kings might win the Toss.
