PSL 2026 Points Table:  Islamabad United delivered a commanding performance to defeat Rawalpindi by seven wickets in their Pakistan Super League 2026 encounter.

Batting first, Rawalpindi put up 156/7 on the board. Kamran Ghulam led the effort with a composed 50 off 39 balls, but the innings never truly gained momentum due to regular wickets. Mohammad Rizwan and Yasir Khan fell cheaply, adding early pressure. Contributions from Daryl Mitchell (19) and Abdullah Fazal (23) provided some stability, while Dian Forrester remained unbeaten on 44 to push the total to a respectable finish. With the ball, Richard Gleeson, Faheem Ashraf, and Salman Irshad played key roles by striking at crucial intervals.

In reply, Islamabad United lost Devon Conway early, dismissed for 6 by Mohammad Amir. However, Sameer Minhas took charge of the chase with a superb 70 off 36 deliveries, laced with boundaries and sixes. He was well-supported by Mohammad Faiq (19) and Haider Ali, who remained unbeaten on 26. Mark Chapman then applied the finishing touches with a quickfire 24* off just seven balls, ensuring the target was chased down comfortably in just 14.2 overs.

Although Mohammad Amir struck early, he proved expensive, while Jalat Khan and Rishad Hossain chipped in with a wicket apiece. Rawalpindi managed only 35 runs in the Powerplay and struggled to build partnerships through the middle overs. In contrast, Islamabad United dominated early in their chase, scoring 62 in the first six overs, setting the platform for a comfortable and emphatic victory.
