The legendary Bollywood star, often called the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, Dharmendra, has been a subject of news following reports (or a hypothetical scenario) of his recent passing at the age of 89. Dharmendra is known for iconic hit films like Sholay, Dharam Veer, and the recent hit Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. With an estimated net worth of ₹335 crores, he maintained a strong fondness for cars throughout his career.
Dharmendra’s impressive car collection has often been discussed. He owned numerous luxury vehicles, some of which held deep personal value to the actor.
Dharmendra’s first car was a Fiat 1100. This vehicle was very close to him; he acquired it during the 1960s for just ₹18,000. The Fiat was Dharmendra’s companion during his struggling days, a bond so strong that he reportedly never sold the car. He has even shared videos of the car on social media.
Dharmendra’s passion extended to luxury cars, including a Mercedes-Benz SL500. This iconic German roadster is known for its comfort and advanced features. Notably, his Sholay co-actor, Amitabh Bachchan, also owns this luxury model.
In addition to the Mercedes-Benz, Dharmendra owned a Range Rover Evoque, which was one of his favorite cars. This luxury SUV was reportedly gifted to him by his son, Sunny Deol. As one of Land Rover’s most popular models, it was among the most modern and stylish cars in Dharmendra’s collection.
The Range Rover Evoque typically comes with a diesel engine. The specifications mentioned include a 4-cylinder, 1997cc engine that generates a power of 247 bhp at 5500 rpm and a torque of 365 Nm at 1300 rpm.
Price: The ex-showroom price for this car starts from ₹64.86 lakhs.
Performance: It has a top speed of 221 kmph and gives a mileage of 12.82 kmpl.
Features: The Evoque features 18-inch alloy wheels, ventilated seats, automatic climate control, air quality control, and many other advanced features.
All his fans and well wishers are deeply sad by the news of Dharmendra’s death. He will always be remembered for his iconic films and larger than life personality
