Chinese smartphone manufacturing company Oppo is gearing up for launch of its latest tablet, the Oppo Pad 5 Pro and the Pad Mini. The device will be launching on 21st April 2026 in Chinese market. The Oppo Pad 5 Pro will be launched as a flagship aimed at users who want top-of-the-line features, whereas the Pad Mini is designed for anyone who prefers a smaller device that still packs a punch of features. Both the upcoming devices will run on ColorOS 16 based on the Android 16, and they both are powered by the Snapdragon chipset. So, there are two launches all set to take place in China by next week.
The Oppo Pad 5 Pro features a large 13.2-inch display offering a 3.4K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The device comes with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits which makes it easy to use in any environment. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and it is packed with a massive 13,380mAh battery; the company promises that the battery can last up to 20 hours of video streaming on a single charge and it is supported by 67W wired fast charging.
In terms of design, the device has a sleek built and it measures just 5,94mm thick and weighs 672 grams. The tablet has a Hi-Fi audio, and users can pair it with a floating keyboard for full-on productivity setup.
The Oppo Pad Mini is designed for portability. It features an 8.8-inch OLED display with a sharp 2.5K resolution display and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The upcoming compact tablet weighs around 279 grams, and it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. In terms of battery, the device is packed with an 8,000mAh battery which can deliver up to 19.5 hours of video playback or 22.7 hours of reading. The tablet also features a special Soft Light version with an anti-glare coating which is great if you use it under bright lights or outdoors.
In terms of storage configuration both the tablet comes in three variants:
8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage
12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage
12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage
The Pad 5 Pro is also available in a premium 16GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage option, speaking about the colours, the Pad 5 Pro comes in Dawn Gold, Mocha Brown, and Monet Purple colour options whereas the Pad Mini arrives in Mint Green, Monet Purple, and Space Grey colour options.
The company is not only going to launch a tablet on 21st April. The Chinese tech giant will also roll out the Oppo Enco Chip 2 and the Oppo Watch X3 Mini pushing company forward into the audio and wearable space.
The company is going after both power users and fans of smaller tablets. The Pad 5 Pro impresses with its big, vivd screen and fast hardware whereas the Pad Mini delivers plenty of performance in a lightweight body. There is a lot to look forward to form this launch.
