
Xiaomi Pad 8 launched in India
Chinese tech manufacturing giant Xiaomi has launched its new tablet Xiaomi Pad 8 in India on Tuesday, 10th March 2026. The company has launched the device in mid-range segments for students, professionals and users who want it just for entertainment and content streaming.
The newly launched device features an 11-inch 3.2K display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and peak brightness up to 800 nit. The device also has support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision.
The tablet is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen4 chipset paired with LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The company claims that processors offer around 32 per cent improvement in CPU performance and over 50 per cent improvement in GPU performance compared to earlier models. The tablet runs on Xiaomi HyerOS with AI features and cross-device connectivity. The device is packed with a 9,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging support while the box contains the 67W charger.
The company promises four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates. The device also supports Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro, which offers 16,000 pressure levels and sub-1ms latency. The stylus also supports rotation detection for sketching and annotation. The device can also be paired with the Xiaomi Pad Keyboard and Focus Keyboard.
The new Xiaomi Pad 8 comes with starting price of Rs 33,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage varaint costs Rs 36,999 whereas the Nano Texture variant offering 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage costs Rs 38,999
