Hyundai Venue Knight Edition
South Korean automobile manufacturing giant Hyundai Motor has expanded its compact SUV portfolio in India with the launch of the Hyundai Venue Knight Edition, rolling out a blacked-out aesthetic to one of its most popular models. The ex-showroom price of the special edition starts at Rs 9.70 lakh with a premium of Rs 15,000 over corresponding standard variants. The Hyundai’s Knight range is one of the most successful cars from the brand with over 92,000 units sales since its launch in 2022, the Venue Knight Edition brings a distinctive design treatment aimed at customers seeking a more aggressive and premium road presence.
The newly launched Venue Knight Edition retains the standard SUVs silhouette, but it differentiates itself through a host of cosmetic enhancements. This cosmetic enhancement consists of a black-painted front grille, matte black Hyundai logos, black skid plates, roof rails, and ORVMs, along with newly installed 16-inch alloy wheels, additionally, the red brake calipers and a ‘Knight’ emblem on the tailgate adds contrast.
In terms of interior and cabin, the SUV adopts an all-black theme instead of the dual-tone layout which is available in the standard variant. The company offers brass-coloured accents on the steering wheel, AC vents, climate control panel and gear selector giving it a premium touch, while matching brass stitching on the leatherette upholstery further evelvates the interior ambience.
The cabin also features dual 12.3-inch displays, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, sunroof and wireless charging.
One of the key updates in the new Knight Edition is the introduction of a dashcam in select varaints including HX6T, HX10, and the N-Line N10 DCT. The system supports multiple modes, on-demand video access and photo capture, with footage accessible through a dedicated smartphone app.
In terms of safety features, the SUV consists of six airbags as standard, along with a 360-degree camera, ADAS suite, electronic parking brake, and all-wheel disc brakes on higher variants.
The company has introduced two new colour options for the newly launched edition which consists of Hazel Blue Matte and Mystic Sapphire Matte for the standard Venue range. The Knight Edition is available across select trims consisting of HX5, HX6T, HX8, and HX10 variants.
In terms of engine and powertrain options, the special edition remains similar to standard Venue. Buyers can choose from three engine options:
1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol (manual)
1.0-litre turbo-petrol (DCT)
1.5-litre diesel (manual and automatic transmission)
