Turkey Mass Shooting: Gunman Kills 4, Injures 8 In Multi-Location Attack In Mersin

The deadly Turkey mass shooting incident in the southern city of Mersin on Monday resulted in four deaths and eight injuries when a shooter opened fire in different places, as reported by local media sources to AFP news agency. The shooting was said to have started in a restaurant in the Tarsus district where customers and employees fell prey to the sudden attack of the killer who opened fire in the restaurant. However, the shooting spread to different parts of the city as the gunman continued his shooting spree before escaping from the scene.

Gunman reportedly escaped by car as police launch large-scale manhunt

According to Turkish news agencies DHA and IHA, the remaining two victims of the Turkey mass shooting were killed at separate locations during the attack spree. Officials said the suspect escaped in a vehicle after carrying out the shootings.

Police immediately launched a massive search operation across the region to track down the gunman. Local media reports said helicopters were also deployed as part of the manhunt.
