Delhi Capitals (DC) face off against league leaders Punjab Kings (PBKS) today, 25 April 2026, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The afternoon match, set for 3:30 PM IST, is vital for DC as they seek to recover from a significant loss, whereas PBKS hopes to prolong their undefeated streak in IPL 2026. Delhi Capitals come back to their ground, facing pressure against an undefeated Punjab Kings. Following a solid beginning, DC has lost three out of its last four matches and fallen to sixth position in the points table.

Lungi Ngidi has effectively led their bowling attack, but worries about spin remain, as Kuldeep Yadav and skipper Axar Patel have not performed reliably.

In comparison, PBKS securely hold the top position with 11 points, shining in both batting and bowling. With Arshdeep Singh back to form, they appear to be a well-rounded team and go into the match as clear favorites.

Will Mitchell Starc and Prithvi Shaw make DC’s playing XI?

As per reports, Australian speedster Mitchell Starc is likely to be available for selection from May 1. There is a high chance that young batter Prithvi Shaw might just make the cut and get replaced by impact player T Natarajan later in the match.

On the other hand, PBKS batter Cooper Connolly is expected to be included in the XI after taking a short break by taking a trip back to Australia.
