Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir recently made a shocking statement. In his remark, he compared India to a “shining Mercedes” and Pakistan to a “dump truck.”

Echoing this controversial remark, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, praised Munir’s statement. He lauded Munir’s leadership during recent India-Pakistan tensions. He quoted army chief’s remark made while visiting Saudi delegation. He said, “India is like a shining Mercedes, but we are like a dumper truck, loaded with stones; imagine what happens when the two collide.”

Naqvi spoke at a seminar held under the aegis of Waris Mir Foundation at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on Sunday. He said that he had been witness to many key events that happened in the wake of the war between the two countries. He also claimed that none of the missiles fired by India struck Pakistani targets, despite clear evidence.

Munir recently issued a statement and threatened India saying that Islamabad would take down “half the world” with it, if his country faces an existential threat in the future with India.

Meanwhile, New Delhi dismissed his remarks as yet another example of Islamabad’s “nuclear sabre-rattling.”

Notably, under India’s Operation Sindoor, which started after the Pahalgam terror attack, nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were hit. Over 100 terrorists were neutralised and tensions grew as both countries exchanged cross-border fire for four days.

Munir’s remarks were trolled on social media by netizens. They highlighted Pakistani army chief’s accidental admission of Islamabad’s poor standing as compared to India. “Pakistan’s military might is a myth held together by duct tape and delusions,” a netizen wrote.
