The victim was identified as Pawanpreet Kaur by Peel Regional Police on Monday, and she worked at the gas station, according to the media agency. For Peel Region in Ontario, Canada, the Peel Regional Police perform law enforcement services. After the Toronto Police Agency, it is the second-largest municipal police service in Ontario.
The victim was identified as being from Brampton by the police, who also stated that when they got to the shooting scene, they discovered the lady to be shot. Despite efforts to save her life, the woman passed away.
According to the police, they think it was a targeted attack. The inquiry has been turned over to the homicide unit. According to the media site, police are hunting for a male suspect.
The news source cited a press statement from the police that stated the suspect was dressed in a three-quarter length, hooded, dark winter jacket, dark winter boots, dark slacks, a dark winter toque, and white gloves. He seemed to be puffing on a cigarette.
He did not put the hood up over his head until just before shooting the victim at close range, according to the police.
Police have discovered that the suspect was in the vicinity on foot three hours before to the shooting after searching the area for footage and speaking with witnesses.
He had previously been spotted crossing Creditview Road to the north of the crossroads and Britannia Road to the east of it, according to the media outlet.
He was observed fleeing the scene of the incident by going westward over Creditview Road, then onto Britannia Road, and finally into Camgreen Circle.
