Since the Monsoon Session resumed Friday, Parliament has conducted little to no business. It remains uncertain whether the ongoing deadlock will break today.
The Parliament remained disrupted on Thursday, July 24, 2025, as both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha failed to carry out any business due to continuous protests by Opposition members. MPs from the Opposition kept raising slogans such as “Take back SIR,” demanding the cancellation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.
Soon after Lok Sabha resumed, the session was adjourned again within minutes amid loud protests. This marked the fourth consecutive day of disruptions, with Opposition parties pressing for debates on issues like the electoral roll revision in Bihar, the Pahalgam terror attack, and Operation Sindoor.
Ruckus in Rajya Sabha, The chair adjourned the house till 2 pm today.
