Chirag Paswan, the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (R) and a member of parliament, urged that a FIR be filed against Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, for the Chapra hooch disaster as the dead toll is expected to rise.
Chirag Paswan stated that he did not believe that those who perished in the hooch catastrophe had just passed away, adding that he held the Bihar CM accountable for the crime.

Nitish Kumar addressed the crowd by saying, “Kya hai Gaya, jehrili sharab, halla kar rahe ho tum log.” The JDU leader could also be seen motioning for the BJP MLAs to be silent.

Family members of the deceased in Chhapra alleged that their loved ones passed away as a result of drinking poisoned alcohol. The event happened in the Yadu Mor and Doila villages of the Isuapur and Mashrak police stations, respectively.
