As the nation commemorated the 76th Independence day, Prime Minister Modi envisaged the plan for the next 25 years, with enumerating five promises (panchpran) for the nation.
The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, made five promises to the people of the nation on Monday, describing the coming 25 years as “crucial” for the country’s growth and destiny. On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, the prime minister addressed the country from the ramparts of the famous Red Fort in Delhi. He urged the 130 crore Indians to come together in defence of their nation and its history and to fight against racism and the enslavement of their fellow citizens.
The five pledges made by Modi are –
These “PanchPran” (five promises) encircle promises where the first goal is to progress with the aim of transitioning into a developed india.
The second promise inculcates removing any trace of servitude or enslavement which is nothing but a colonial mindset.
The third promise is to take pride in our roots and only if we are deeply rooted in our motherland we can progress and fulfil the commitment made to transition into a developed nation.
The fourth promise is to stand united and hold our ground to make the nation a leader which will lead the progress of the world.
The last promise inculcates, the sense of duty among the citizens to abide by the rules, not to hamper the developments and be a responsible citizen of the nation.
Remembering the time before the Independence of India, PM Modi remarked that people had different ways of working back then but the goal was the same, freedom of India. In this “Amrit Kaal” he urged everyone to unite and work towards another goal – Viksit Bharat.”
