CJI announces launch of 'Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0'

CJI DY Chandrachud stated that the Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0, which has new capabilities would allow all law officials and government departments to monitor their cases.

On Wednesday, Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud stated that the Supreme Court Mobile App 2.0, which has new capabilities, is now available and would allow all law officials and government departments to monitor their cases.

According to the CJI, the latest edition of the App allows government agencies to view their outstanding cases. He also stated that App 2.0 will be accessible on the Google Play Store in an hour and for IOS users in a week.

“This time we have given an additional feature, all law officers can have real-time access to their access. All government departments can check the pendency of their cases. Please use it,” said the CJI.

The updated App’s summary states that nodal officers of the central ministry department can view their cases filed, status orders, judgement and any miscellaneous documents filed etc. in the Supreme Court.

During the pandemic, the Supreme Court will launch a mobile application in 2021 to allow journalists to report on Supreme Court proceedings without having to visit the court premises.
