The Nainital district administration responded to the violence that erupted on February 8 after an anti-encroachment drive by deploying a significant number of police troops in Haldwani’s Banbhoolpura neighborhood.
The entire region has been split up into five super zones in order to maintain control, and seven magistrates have been charged in each zone.
In relation to the violence, officials have so far detained five people, named 19 people in three filed formal complaints, and 5,000 unidentified individuals.
The development follows the imposition of a curfew in the area on Thursday, in response to the anti-encroachment drive, which resulted in the deaths of five individuals.

Police emphasized that there was no new violence and that the situation was under control despite the fact that three FIRs were filed on Friday.
According to State Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Law & Order AP Anshuman, “The curfew has been lifted, and the situation in Haldwani is normal.” There is still a curfew in Banbhoolpura. Five persons have been taken into custody and three FIRs have been filed.CCTV footage is being examined.Three people have significant injuries, and five people have passed away. Numerous law enforcement officers are hurt.
According to the police, they have started searches, taken numerous people into custody, and are identifying criminals.

Nainital PN Meena, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), added that three cases were filed, including 5,000 unidentified individuals in addition to 19 named individuals.
Parts of the violent region have seen the deployment of security forces after fighting broke out on Thursday night during the anti-encroachment campaign.
While at Haldwani on Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his strong condemnation of the attack on police officers, particularly the female officers.
The Chief Minister also wanted to know how the other police officers, journalists, municipal corporation employees, and members of the women’s police squad were doing as a result of the violence.

Dhami said that all the video footage and footprints of those who have broken the law and damaged government property are available. The process of identifying all the miscreants involved in this incident and taking legal action against them is underway. To ensure peace and law and order in Banbhoolpura, the Chief Minister has instructed ADG Law and Order AP Anshuman to camp in the affected area.
The CM has also given instructions to take strict action against the unruly elements, taking a strict view of the incidents of attacks on police and administration officials and personnel during the removal of illegal construction and spreading unrest in the area.
