Garuda Aerospace: Canada signs MoU to collaborate on drones

MoU between Garuda Aerospace and Lockheed Martin Canada CDL Systems paves the way for the integration of Garuda Aerospace’s Made-in-India drones with Lockheed Martin Canada CDL System.

“Working with Lockheed Martin Canada CDL Systems makes me happy and excited. Garuda Aerospace will benefit from this partnership’s significant competitive edge to solidify its market leadership in a number of industries “According to Garuda Aerospace’s founder and CEO, Agnishwar Jayaprakash.

Agnishwar Jayaprakash concluded, “Since our Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji launched 100 Garuda drones in 100 locations throughout the nation and MS Dhoni became our brand ambassador, Garuda Aerospace has built a tremendous order book with immense credibility to deliver drones to various sectors. As a result, large international corporations, like Lockheed Martin, have faith in Garuda as a deserving partner.

According to a joint statement, the companies agreed to look into new partnership opportunities while collaborating closely to create powerful data processing capabilities and create joint algorithms that will support a variety of drones and drone-based service applications in industries like industrial inspection, mining, large-scale mapping, and defence.

“Our team has been creating cutting-edge software solutions for the UAS market for more than 30 years, and we are eager to collaborate with Garuda Aerospace to incorporate that technology and expertise into their Made-In-India drones. Our dedication to fostering the development of an Indian defence and aerospace industry ecosystem is demonstrated by our partnership. This would be a positive start in providing India’s different market sectors with top-notch drone software solutions and opening up high-tech job prospects “Michael Baker, general manager of CDL Systems at Lockheed Martin Canada, stated.

Garuda Aerospace just started its USD 30 million Series A financing with an estimated valuation of USD 250 million. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a former captain of the Indian cricket team, has invested in the business and serves as its brand ambassador. 400 drones and over 500 qualified pilots spread across 26 locations make up Garuda Aerospace’s impressive drone fleet. The most valued start-up in India, Garuda Aerospace, anticipates becoming the country’s first unicorn drone start-up in the near future.
