External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar underscored the enduring positive relationship between India and Russia during his address to the Indian Community in Singapore on Sunday. He highlighted the mutual efforts of both countries to safeguard each other’s interests.

Jaishankar reflected on the question of whether Russia has been beneficial or detrimental to India’s interests. He noted that based on his assessment and experiences, Russia has consistently been a positive partner for India, with both nations prioritizing the protection of each other’s interests.

During his official visit to Singapore, Philippines, and Malaysia from March 23-27, 2024, Jaishankar reiterated the importance of the strong ties between India and Russia. He emphasized the need to move forward with confidence in this relationship.
