Nadda chairs BJP meet, Gujarat, MCD polls on agenda

the general secretaries of the party met under the chairmanship of BJP national party president JP Nadda.

JP Nadda, the president of the BJP national party, presided over a meeting of the general secretaries of the organisation on Sunday.

The gathering was conducted in Delhi at the party’s headquarters.

The approaching Gujarat Assembly elections and the party’s campaign strategy for the Delhi municipal elections on December 4 were discussed during the meeting, according to sources.

On December 7, the ballots for Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, which went to the polls on Saturday, will be counted.

The BJP intends to focus all of its efforts on the forthcoming Gujarat Assembly elections, which will take place on December 1 and 5.

89 of the total 182 Assembly seats will be up for election in the first round. For the first round of voting, all of the major political parties, including the BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), have chosen their candidates.

The BJP has compiled a list of its top election campaigners. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is at the top of the list, followed by Union Defense Minister Amit Shah.

JP Nadda, the head of the BJP at the national level, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, the union minister for roads and highways, and Smriti Irani, Dharmendra Pradhan, Mansukh Mandaviya, and Purushottam Rupala are among the other notable individuals on the list.

Along with state BJP president CR Patil and state Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, the list of celebrity campaigners also includes Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who is running for re-election in the Ghatlodia Assembly district.

This year, the ruling party is running for a seventh consecutive term in office. The state has historically been a BJP stronghold, and this time the party has its eyes set on retaking power with a sizable majority.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has chosen Isudan Gadhvi as its candidate for chief minister, will, however, provide a formidable electoral challenge to it.

In order to overthrow the BJP administration, Congress also intends to put its best electoral foot forward.
