The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced the results of the 18th All India Bar Examination (AIBE 18 or XVIII 2024). Candidates who appeared for the examination can now access their results on the official website by logging in with their user ID and password.

In its notification, the BCI mentioned that seven questions from AIBE 18 were withdrawn, resulting in the evaluation being based on 93 questions instead of the original 100. Furthermore, the passing marks for general and OBC category candidates have been revised to 45 percent of the total 93 marks, rounding up to 42, as opposed to the previous requirement of 45.

Here are the steps to download the AIBE 18 Result 2024:

  1. Visit the official website: allindiabarexamination.com.
  2. Click on the link for the AIBE XVIII result.
  3. Enter your login credentials – user ID and password.
  4. The AIBE 18 results for 2024 will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Download and save the scorecard for future reference.

For SC, ST, and disabled categories, the pass mark is set at 40 percent of the 93 questions, equating to a minimum score of 37, as specified by the BCI.

Candidates who uploaded documents other than the Enrollment certificate will have their results withheld. They are required to send their enrollment certificates to the email address bci.helpdesk@smartexams.in before April 10, 2024. The results for these candidates will be announced by April 15, 2024, as per the BCI notification on AIBE XVIII results.

Prior to the release of the results, the BCI published the final answer key for AIBE 18 on March 21, 2024. The examination, conducted on December 10, 2023, at various centers nationwide, had its provisional answer key released on December 12, 2023, followed by a period for raising objections from December 13 to 20.

The All India Bar Examination serves as a certification test for Law graduates, allowing them to practice law within Indian courts upon successful completion.
