Deepika Padukone and Dhurandhar star have announced that they are expecting their second child. On Sunday morning, the actor took to Instagram to share the news in a heartwarming way. She posted a cute picture of their daughter, Dua, holding a pregnancy test kit, hinting that their family is about to grow.
Along with the post, Deepika kept the caption minimal, adding only nazar emojis in a joint post with Ranveer Singh.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child, a daughter named Dua Padukone Singh on September 8, 2024. The couple first announced they were expecting in February 2024 through a social media post featuring baby clothes and toys.
Deepika later shared that her first pregnancy was complicated, particularly during the final trimester. She described the eight to nine months as physically and emotionally taxing and how she went through with different emotions at the same time. She also expressed deep gratitude to her husband Ranveer Singh, noting how he frequently took breaks from filming Dhurandhar 2 to be by her side.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh who are often referred to as “DeepVeer” have now been together for 13 years. Their relationship transitioned from a secret romance on film sets to one of Bollywood’s most renowned power marriages.
Their love story truly began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyan Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The couple got secretly engaged during a holiday in the Maldives. Ranveer proposed to Deepika on a private sandbank, keeping the engagement private from the public for three years.
Later, the power couple got married in a series of intimate ceremonies at Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy, on November 14 and 15, 2018. They held two separate traditional wedding Konkani ceremony and Anand Karaj to honour their respective heritages.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh is enjoying the huge success of Dhurandhar 2, which continues to perform strongly at the box office even weeks after its release.
Deepika Padukone, meanwhile, has an exciting lineup of films ahead. She will next be seen with Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s King. She is also set to star alongside Allu Arjun in Atlee’s AA22xA6.
