Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited CPM leader Sitaram Yechury in his office in Delhi on Tuesday.
Nitish Kumar dismissed rumours about his Prime Ministerial candidacy, adding, “I am not even a claimant, I don’t even want it.” “We are together, that is why I come here,” Nitish stated after meeting with CPM leader Yechury.
“It will be a great deal if different parties get together.”
Nitish Kumar told the media today, “We have agreed that if the Left parties, regional parties in different states, and the Congress get together, it will be a great event.”

Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi to discuss the strategy for the impending 2024 Lok Sabha elections and the possibilities of bringing like-minded parties together.

Kumar, who saw Gandhi for the first time since his reunion with the Mahagathbandhan, of which the Congress is a part in Bihar, expressed thanks to the Wayanad MP for his party’s support for his administration, according to Congress sources. According to the sources, both parties would continue their “concrete negotiations” in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.

During his visit to Delhi, the Bihar Chief Minister also met with former Karnataka Chief Minister and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy.

The meeting takes place amid speculation that Kumar is aiming to position himself as a prime ministerial contender in 2024. He did, however, clear the air on the subject.

Kumar, who was in Delhi again, urged for Opposition unity and denied harbouring prime ministerial ambitions.
“A positive environment will be generated if the opposition comes together. I have no desire or ambition to become Prime Minister “Bihar’s chief minister informed the reporters.

Kumar’s meeting with opposition leaders comes only days after Telangana Chief Minister KCR visited Bihar and discussed the country’s political situation.
