Militants on Tuesday killed one civilian and wounded another, both members of the minority Kashmiri Pandit group, in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

According to authorities, terrorists opened fire on people at the Chanpora Apple Orchards, Chotipora in the region of Shopian.

According to police, one individual died and another was injured.

According to authorities, the victims are brothers. Sunil Kumar and Pintu Kumar, sons of Arjun Nath Kumar from the Chotigam region, were recognised.

“Sunil died on the spot, The injured individual has been taken to the hospital,” according to authorities.

Militants have increased their strikes in the Kashmir valley in the last week. On Sunday, a police officer was assassinated in Nowhatta, while a migrant labourer was killed in Bandipora last week.

Two grenade assaults occurred on Monday in the districts of Budgam and Srinagar. In the Budgam incident in the Gopalpora region, one minority member was hurt.
