CRPF jawan deployed at IB Director's Delhi residence shoots himself dead

A 53-year-old Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who was assigned to the Director Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director’s residence in Delhi.

According to police on Saturday, a 53-year-old Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who was assigned to the Director Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director’s residence in the national capital allegedly killed himself with his service weapon. Rajbir Kumar who is said to be 53 years old, reportedly shot two rounds at himself from his service revolver on Friday evening at approximately 4:15 pm, while he was deployed at the residence of IB Director under the Tuglaq Road Police Station limits,”

Delhi Police stated that according to preliminary investigation, Rajbir Kumar shot himself from his service revolver.” The security guard’s body has been sent for an autopsy, and after the report, everything will be clear, police said, however no suicide note was found on the scene.

Fingerprints were taken from the scene by the district forensic crime team. The reason for the act is under investigation by the police. Moreover, in accordance with the CrPC Section 174, inquest proceedings have been initiated and the family of the deceased Madhya Pradesh-based CRPF personnel has been informed.
