Manish Sisodia hits back at BJP over Ad row

Deputy Chief Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia has accused the BJP and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena of misusing Delhi government officials.

Deputy Chief Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia has expressed concern over sending a government notice to Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal on the expenditure of Rs 164 crore from the Delhi government’s account in the guise of political advertisements. He has accused the LG of misusing its powers.

Sisodia said that the officers should be used to get the work done for the public and not to give notices to the Chief Minister and ministers. BJP governments are also doing the same. But no action is being taken against them.

Sisodia said, “Look at the illegitimate use of unconstitutional control over officers in Delhi. BJP has served a notice from Delhi Government’s Information Department Secretary Alice Vaz (IAS) that since 2017, the expenses of advertisements given in states outside Delhi have been spent by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.” shall be recovered from him.

Raising a question, Sisodia said, “Advertisements of Chief Ministers of all BJP states are published in the newspapers of Delhi, and government hoardings with photos of their CMs have been put up all over Delhi. Will their expenses be recovered from the BJP Chief Ministers?

This is becoming a major political controversy involving the BJP, AAP and the Delhi LG.
