The sixth iteration of Deepotsav is taking place this year, and the Prime Minister will be taking part in the festivities in person for the first time. Around 5 o’clock, PM Modi will offer Bhagwan Shree Ramlala Virajman’s darshan and puja.
PM Modi will tour the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra after the prayer session.

On this day, more than 15 lakh diyas would be lit. During Deepotsav, there will also be five animated tableau displays and eleven Ramleela tableau displays including various dance styles from various states. Along with the Grand Musical Laser Show, the Prime Minister will also see the 3-D Holographic Projection Mapping Show at Ram Ki Paidi on the banks of the Saryu River.
Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, began the “Deepotsav” in the first year of his taking office in 2017, and Ayodhya is prepared to celebrate another big, lit Diwali under his leadership.
Many local and foreign flowers have been used to beautify Ram Janmbhoomi in Ayodhya.
To make the Deepotsav 2022 even more stunning, rangolis made of flowers are adorned at every crossroads in Ayodhya.
The festival will feature a variety of traditional dances from Uttar Pradesh and numerous other states, including “Dhobia,” “Faruwahi,” “Rai,” and “Chhau.”
The Ram temple, Ramlalla, and Ramayana gates will be decorated by groups of specialised artisans from places like Mathura, Sitapur, and other locations. The Ram temple has been embellished with 2,000 bundles of gerbera flowers and forty quintals of marigolds.
The rangolis were created with six quintals of white, blue, yellow, purple, and green flower petals.
The performers of “Braj” in Awadh will enthral the audience with the customs, language, and distinctive features of the Rama-Krishna homeland.
The Department of Tourism and Culture is working with the District Administration to put on the Deepotsav celebration in Ayodhya. The tourism department has also made preparations to welcome pilgrims and visitors from all across the nation and the world to the holy city for the elaborate Deepotsava festival on Diwali.
To lead people down memory lane during the festival of lights, the city has been decorated with signs and banners from the Ramayana era.
