Prime Minister Narendra Modi Reaches Ahmedabad for Vibrant Gujarat Summit

PM Modi’s itinerary includes bilateral meetings with global leaders and discussions with CEOs of top global corporations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched down in Ahmedabad on Monday, embarking on a two-day visit to inaugurate the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. The summit, held from January 10 to 12, carries the theme “Gateway to the Future,” marking the “20 Years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success.”

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with Gujarat BJP Chief CR Patil and Governor Acharya Devvrat, warmly welcomed PM Modi upon his arrival. During the summit, several world leaders, including UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, are expected to participate.

In a social media post, PM Modi expressed his joy about the international leaders joining the summit and highlighted his longstanding association with the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. He commended the platform for contributing to Gujarat’s growth and creating opportunities for its residents.

President Jose Ramos-Horta of Timor-Leste also arrived in Ahmedabad for the summit and was welcomed by CM Bhupendra Patel, as mentioned by Randhir Jaiswal, the spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs.

The inaugural day, January 10, will witness the opening ceremony at Mahatma Mandir, followed by a meeting with business leaders in the Global FinTech Leadership Forum at GIFT City.

The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, initiated in 2003 under PM Modi’s leadership when he was the state chief minister, has evolved into a prestigious global platform for business collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships. The tenth edition, from January 10 to 12, 2024, features a diverse array of events, seminars, and conferences on topics like Industry 4.0, Technology and Innovation, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Hydrogen, Electric Mobility, Renewable Energy, and Transition towards Sustainability.

With 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations, the summit also serves as a showcase for investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions, facilitated by the Ministry of Development of the North-Eastern Region. The Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show will display cutting-edge products from various sectors, including E-mobility, startups, MSMEs, Blue Economy, Green Energy, and Smart Infrastructure.
