Tragedy Strikes on Bareilly-Nainital Highway: Eight Lives Lost in Fiery Collision

In a horrific incident on Saturday night, a head-to-head collision between a dumper and a car on the Bareilly-Nainital Highway, in the Bhojipura police station area of Uttar Pradesh, resulted in the death of eight people who were charred to death, according to officials.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the car involved in the collision suffered a tire burst, leading to a devastating head-on collision with a dumper that was en route from Uttarakhand. The impact was so severe that it sparked a loud explosion, engulfing both vehicles in flames. Nearby residents rushed out of their homes and promptly alerted the police.

Upon receiving word of the accident, a police team swiftly arrived at the scene, and fire tenders were deployed to extinguish the raging flames. Tragically, the occupants of the car were unable to escape the inferno as the doors were locked from the inside, resulting in all eight individuals inside being burnt alive.

Officials reported that the two occupants of the dumper sustained critical injuries in the collision. The local Special Superintendent of Police (SSP) has confirmed the deaths of all eight occupants of the car, revealing that the vehicle was on its way from Bareilly to Baheri. Among the deceased, it has been disclosed that a child was also tragically lost in the accident.
