Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday said that the Delhi airport has installed five x-ray machines in the security-check area in just nine days.

Minister in a tweet stated, “Within 9 days, @DelhiAirport has erected 5 x-ray machines at the security-check area, bringing the total to 18 ATRS/x-ray machines — a significant cause for improvement in congestion at T3.”

Authorities implemented a strategy to alleviate peak hour congestion at IGI airport’s Terminal 3 on Wednesday, with Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia surveying the situation.

Officials stated that modifications have occurred at DIAL airport T3 in the previous four days, affecting numerous sectors like admission, security, and the immigration procedure. They stated that real-time wait time information will be shared on social media.

Scindia conducted a surprise visit to the airport on Monday, inspecting all suspected congestion areas and interacting with airport personnel.

Moreover, Scindia in an interview quoted that initiatives were being done to make air travel more convenient for travellers. Air travelers complaining about congestion at the main terminal have taken to social media.
